25mm Napoleonic Drum Stack finished...

Hey all!

Well, I've been hard at work finishing up "extras" for my Napoleon base.

One of the extras a friend recommended I do was a stack of drums.  When the drummers were off duty they would stack the drums, leaving a duty drummer there to signal if needed.  So, I thought I'd do that!

Now, I had a hard time finding drums.  However, as the wargaming community is a pretty generous one, a fine gent named Tim let me know he had enough extras he could send my way, free of charge!  Of course, one good turn and all, so sent him (entirely unasked for) a pair of French officers I knew he could use and a surgeon and patient on a table that I had as an extra lying around.  A good trade for both of us, I think.  The drummer came from the Perry Young Guard at Rest set.

Actually, the drums and drummer are NOT glued down yet... if needed, I could move them elsewhere. Thoughts?

And so, the last bit is done, and I'll post FINAL finished pictures of Napoleon and his marshals in the near future!  For now, a single shot!

Thanks for stopping by!

Very nice, an idea worth stealing, er, um borrowing.

Nice work - I've seen them stacked top to bottom before too. One in a movie called Napoleon - the Emperor was sleeping behind them in camp on a battlefield. Very cool scene. Best, Dean
